Extreme Weather Conditions Call for State Office Closings

Due to weather conditions, State offices in all counties EXCEPT Bennington County and Windham County have been authorized to operate on a reduced workforce status for ALL shifts Monday, March 7, 2011.

All employees designated as essential personnel for reduced workforce situations including Corrections, Public Safety, Institutions and Transportation Maintenance should report for work as normally expected. Unless employees are designated as essential personnel and/or required by management to be at work, no employees are authorized to be in State offices.

Employees should anticipate State offices re-opening for first shift on Tuesday, March 8, 2011.

Employees who are affected by the reduced workforce status during this period, may do so without loss of pay or benefits.

State employees may check the Emergency Information Line (800) 644-4402 or http://humanresources.vermont.gov/services/emergency_closing for the most up to date information.

Media can call Kate Duffy, DHR Commissioner at 595-3109 for more information.
