Working Lands Enterprise Fund: Webinar for Service Providers

We are pleased to invite organizations that work with Agriculture and/or Forestry & Forest Products businesses to join us for a “Working Lands Webinar” to communicate the details of the Working Lands initiative and upcoming funding opportunities. This seminar will serve to “train the trainers” in order to ensure a broad reach to eligible applicants. (There will be additional webinars scheduled for the APPLICANTS in early December; details will be forthcoming shortly).

The Service Provider webinar will cover the following topics:

1. Background and Purpose of the Working Lands initiative

2. The three investment areas of the initiative (Overview of Requests for Proposals)

3. Dates, deadlines, and key contacts

4. Q & A

Webinar Dates: Thursday November 15th and Tuesday November 27th – see information below to join the webinar. Participants will log in to view the presentation and call in to hear the presentation and ask questions. We will be conducting both webinars at the Agency of Agriculture, 116 State Street, Montpelier, in the 2nd floor conference room. The Working Lands Enterprise initiative, Act 142, ( created the Working Lands Enterprise Fund (WLEF) and the Working Lands Enterprise Board (WLEB). The WLEB includes private sector representatives from agriculture and forestry; state government including the Vermont Agency of Agriculture, Vermont Department of Forests, Parks & Recreation, and the Vermont Agency of Commerce and Community Development; and ex-officio members from the Vermont Housing and Conservation Board, the Vermont Economic Development Authority, and the Vermont Sustainable Jobs Fund.

A request for Funding Proposals will be released on Thursday November 29th. Applications will be received in three investment areas:

1. Agriculture and Forestry & Forest Products: Enterprise Investments: $3,000-$15,000 grants

2. Agriculture and Forestry & Forest Products: Working Lands Service Provider Grants: $10,000 - $100,000 grants

3. Agriculture and Forestry & Forest Products: Capital and Infrastructure Investments: $15,000 - $100,000 grants
